Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Idukki district of Kerala, is a unique protected area in the Western Ghats known for its rich biodiversity and dry deciduous forests. Unlike most other sanctuaries in Kerala, it receives very little rainfall, giving it a distinctive landscape with thorny scrub forests, grasslands, and patches of green vegetation along the rivers.
